The original Super Mario Bros. is the best selling game of all time.
The Wii has plenty of hardcore games.
The Wii and DS are only prone to shovelware because of the accessibility of the control schemes. Kinect and Move are going to have waves of shovelware if they gain popularity.

@bastian2515 When the game first came out, it was chopper gunner cause it was just easier to use overall but now I use the AC-130 just to be different.
