Like the title says.

I also now have denatured alcohol. First impressions? The fumes aren't quite as noxious as those that straight methanol creates. The flame is also more yellow and blue, and more dirty. I had some soot left behind after the session, whereas methanol burns utterly clean. Still, I think I'm going to run the denatured indoors, if only for the less odious oder. Another plus, I suppose, is that you can see the fire before you put your hand into it.

  • Very nice display of the Jensen 100 and the Mamod SE3. Five stars in my book.

  • Thanks. The SE3 and 100 seem to go together well. Maybe it's the way that the SE3 sounds like an out of control scroll saw when going full tilt ;)

  • where did u buy all the different parts for the workshop i have the toys but i need to buy those metal rubber bands. where can i buy them cheaply without high shipping costs

  • The Model 100 was sold as you see it, with all of the tools. You can buy Jensen bands either from jensensteamengines-dot-com or ministeam-dot-com. You can use Wilesco bands too. Ministeam has them, as well as yesteryeartoys-dot-com (and dot-ca in Canada).

    Also in Canada there is Greathobbies-dot-ca, who have some steam stuff. You can also find them on ebay through the ebay stores of ministeam and yesteryear, where price/shipping may be less. Just buy several packs, so you don't need to reorder

  • Ahhh the SE3 mamods finest

    MM

  • I certainly agree ;)

  • I love the sound to it;

  • Yes, that's the lot. I've heard they were sold individually as well, but the complete Model 100 shop is more common to find. They aren't really functional, though; just an audio/visual display.

  • I like the Jenson workshop, its very nice indeed, is that the full compliment of Jenson tools ?
