Hi, when i duplicate the layer and then immediately using the layer to apply the blur step, it doesn't blur and I'm not sure why?

My Eraser doesnt do what yours is to the hair? :/ Nothings happening at all?

in my opinion, the face just looks fake to me. but thats just me, i just dont like these fake look.
and a small tip, dont erase the parts the background copy you dont want to blur, just use a layer mask so you still keep the information on the layer for later. but still thats just how i work ;)

It's always funny to me how the "before pictures" look fine at first, but when compared to the "after" there's such a difference
