Fabulous Rca Victor Ding Dong School player model 6-JM-25. It was probably designed to hook to your RCA radio unit back in the day. I have run it through the Auxillary jack on the Teac. Playing Decca Children's Series #9-88217 Bolla Walla Winkle by Jack Barry! FUN!

  • The lyrics on that Bolla Walla Winkle song are truly odd. Almost perverse (:-> I wonder if that's Jack Barry the gameshow host?

  • @bluenazz I have to agree about the lyrics. This kid wants to marry a little girls, a cat and his mother.......

  • I can't believe how well it works! Maybe it was recently restored?

  • @dewey70 I don't think so. The seller said it was in the garage with a bunch of junk his neighbors gave him when they moved. That doesn't sound like someone that would care enough to restore it. LOL.

  • I must say... for my tastes.... this is the coolest thing you've scored yet! Love the record you've got playing in it. I can't believe it works!

  • @rylandheights I knew you'd love this, Mark! This tune is insane when you listen to the words. lol.

  • RCA Victor made so many awesome things... their own first 45rpm players to play the records they invented, also the 45rpm car record players... and these players too!! I am astonished it's in such good shape and working so well, this is wonderful. When I was a small lad in the 60s my grandad took me to a record store often, and they had a player like this but it was a plain cabinet and hooked in to their big system in the store, it was for people to sample 45s before buying!!

  • Amazing it still works !! The cartridges always die and the idler wheels warp !! Tinks magic works again !! Love it !!

  • That is the best sound I've ever heard on one of those type of machines! Fairly stable motor and they always sound bad! I'll bet this song was the inspiration to The Name Game by Shirley Ellis!!

  • cool player and record!

  • WOW! That is just awesome! I love it! Looks like an old floppy disc drive from the 80s! It has great fidelity and is just so neat!

  • This reminds me so much of 45 RPM record players made for cars!
