@prtzllogic OMG finally someone came out & said it SO WELL. Thank GOD for people like you. Gives me just a tiny glimmer of hope. Dare I say...slightly restores my faith in humanity. Good days. If I only knew what was going to happen. The memories & my entire state of mind back then. Younger people: you'll see what I mean later on in life. My advice: "Rejoice in thy youth". How life flies by too damn fast. I would've paused time at around 1984 if possible & slowed it the f**ck down.

Tasmania and Opossum Bay, those were the days when hitching a ride somewhere seemed to be the norm.

The fact that people are still commenting on a record now 28 years old says it all!!! Who will remember Lady Gaga, Adele etc in 28 years??? Precisely

reminds me of 1986 when i was in the marine corps and hangin' out in westwood.
This is one of those songs that makes you happy and sad all at the same time. The music carries such strong nostalgia -- it takes me back to times when life was so much simpler and more innocent. It's all very bitter-sweet: the memory of better days brings you a warm happiness -- then the knowledge that those days are gone forever brings a deep longing... a longing to fill an emptiness that can never be filled... and with that comes an aching sadness for what we all know we've lost.

2 lady gaga fans disliked this song cos they thought that the cars nicked the entering keyboard melody from gaga's "just dance" :))
