  • Err, I meant note in that last sentence. Apologies!

  • I'd have to concur. I'm learning this right now, and this does not do the piece justice. While everything is played correctly in the sense that all the notes are hit, the petal is used to compensate for the lack of legato. The piece becomes much more difficult and has a much different sound when you do not let the petal do the legato for you. Perhaps you didn't know that it was supposed to be legato, but every not is meant to be held for as long as possible.
