In a collaborative study, a team of Indian and international experts have revealed that the electronic voting machines used in Indian elections are vulnerable to fraud. Even brief access to the machines, known in India as EVMs, could allow criminals to alter election results.

This study is a collaboration by security researchers from India, the United States, and the Netherlands.

Hari K. Prasad, who organized the study, is managing director of NetIndia, (P)Ltd., a Hyderabad-based research and development firm. In 2009, the Election Commission of India publicly challenged Prasad to demonstrate that EVMs could be tampered with, only to withhold access to the EVMs at the last minute.

Dr. J. Alex Halderman is a professor of computer science at the University of Michigan. A noted expert on electronic voting security, Professor Halderman demonstrated the first voting machine virus and helped lead California's "top-to-bottom" electronic voting review. He holds a Ph.D. from Princeton University.

Rop Gonggrijp is a technology activist from Holland who was instrumental in having EVMs banned in the Netherlands. In 1993, Gonggrijp cofounded XS4ALL, the first ISP in the Netherlands to offer Internet service to the general public.

Scott Wolchok and Eric Wustrow are student researchers at the University of Michigan.

Arun Kankipati, Sai Krishna Sakhamuri, and Vasavya Yagati are engineers at NetIndia.

  • ye american english bolne se jhoot sach nahin ho jaata hai..

  • Fuck india, even a new born baby is corrupted in this country. There is nothing to wonder about EVM or politicians or whatever.

I can't understand why we got freedom. If British rule our country, it would be far more better than today's independent india.

I guess as like Abdul Kalam said in 2020 india will be the most powerful country in the world (I don't know under what basis he said that). as of 2011 report india holds position 4 in international corrupted countrie's list.

  • i'm sure indian election commision will fix that...

  • The video is deceptive as it ignores all the safeguards in the entire process. The "expert" can enjoy the limelight. The credibility is beyond dispute and the video fails to show anything to the contrary.

However, good video for those who seek thrills and excitement. ha ha ha ha ha
