  • @jbforeveryoung The raucous audience participation is a well-established tradition of the last night of the BBC Henry Wood Promenade Concerts, and it is a particularly British affair with a fine atmosphere of patriotism. I can understsnd that the concept may not travel well across the Atlantic, and for similar reasons we have no plans to visit hell, as hell's denizens might likewise not appreciate it!

  • I really liked this! Not only is it a fun spin on an old well known song, it's a real test of concentration!

  • @honkytonkpiano This is one Yank who appreciates both the Proms and this rendition of the hornpipe. You are correct, though, most would not begin to comprehend. Then again, I'm not sure they would understand Rule Britannia either. It would be a dream to be there in person.

  • The Dutch have André Rieu. Same disorder, same fun!

  • @jbforeveryoung agreed

  • for an American, I have incredible respect for the UK and surrounding islands, but I just can't believe they butchered this song like this

  • @honkytonkpiano Well in that case it's not chaotic enough.
