I advise having Kleenex handy when you watch this one. I kid you not, every time I see these scenes, I get tears in my eyes or outright cry.
After giving Jake a contract for a stint as a segment producer on Felicia's show as a Christmas present, Rachel opens her Christmas present from Jake: the videotape. Paulina panics and blurts out that she told Jake to get Rachel a sweater. Jamie and Amanda are ready to take Steven and Alli out of the room, and Iris also has something to say, but Rachel tells them all to settle down, because they are all going to watch Jake's videotape. Matt comes in right after Rachel starts the tape, but Sam isn't with him. Matt asks Amanda what they're watching, and she replies that they're watching something Jake made for Rachel.
Jake's videotape truly is a gift, and not just for Rachel but for the entire Cory clan: he put together footage of Thanksgivings and Christmases past of the whole family, including Mac and Ada, giving Rachel, Paulina, Iris, Jamie, Matthew, Amanda, and even though they were still too little to fully understand what they were watching Steven and Alli, the priceless gift of happy memories shared and relived. And so ends Christmas 1992 in Bay City. Thanks to Janie for the scenes.

How great to see all those friends. Carmen, Russell, Matt, Sandy, Tommy, Judi, Victoria, John Nash, and especially Connie.

It's been 10 years and now with Guiding Light and As The World Turns finished next year. There will be no more P&G soaps. It's a shame that NYC doesn't acknowledge the industry's contributions to the city. There will only be One Life To Live as of next year if it remains on television.. Watching this clip reminds me of the best that soaps had to offer.

Over 10 years and I still miss this show- unfortunately destined to fail- NBC didn't support it- even the soap magazines didn't barely supported it- only after it's cancellation did the soap mags start singing its praises- probably realizing how it's departure would impact the medium- nothing on daytime even comes close to what AW delivered in its final years

The video was a wonderful reminder of Mac and the whole Cory clan...the fact that Jake gave it to Rachel was a nice touch!!

Hey, Febwriter. How are you doing? Fine, I hope. Loving the Cass/Frankie videos. When are we going to see the scenes where Cass and Frankie first said their "I love you"?
