@aaronk0813 Wherever you practiced karate, they were pretentious assholes. I practiced Japanes Ju-jitsu, and we have a rank system, but you just use it to know who to ask for help. Generally the guy one rank above you has an easier way to learn for you, mostly when you're new, because they only have to remember so little.

Is there any systema in the the north east of England I would like to try it. I must admit I can't judge everything from the clip but there didn't seem to be much resistance on the attackers, however it was a demos at a seminar and having an over resistant attacker wouldn't help there. I wouldn't mind seeing a real incident

When i see this clip of systema, i see a class of all sorts of guys black and white all together in a brotherhood just learning self defense, not a bunch of karate suits or rank i mean i took 3 years of karate where the attitude was i am a black belt, fuck off and give me 1000 push ups, now i am putting down any mainstream martial arts but from what i have seen in alot of systema clips is alot of hard work and pracitcal self defense and to me that all that matters, grea job.

How about going to see some Systema practitioners before you immediately dismiss everything you see as pathetic? If you still feel that it's worthless after having seen the likes of Mikhail in action, then fine - but if you're going to sit there behind the comfortable anonymity of a computer screen and dismiss Systema without having an ounce of experience to back up your "opinion", then I call bullshit on you and everything you say.
