ahhhh the good ol' days of the 90s when 2 strokes ruled motocross and people were addicted to "powerband". When McGrath jumped with style. ESPN played races with regularity. The sport gets no recognition anymore. It has no heart. Everything pertaining to dirtbikes is centered around freestyle. Which is cool but im just desensitized to it now. I rather seen a clean perfect whip over a huge gap then a 360 inverted spin. I guess im crazy

JMB smoked em at Glen Helen and he was riding with a rear flat tire. His bike was so fast, faster then my CR500.

I miss my 1992 KX125. Best looking bike ever in my mind.

JMB had problem with honda because he wanted a nsr 250 road race !!!.
He had to go out us supercross !
Stanton had push JMB few races before and war against Stanton was open
What could he do ?
Win and give title to Bradshow ?
WHY BRADSHOW PUSHED BAYLE AT START ?
Perhaps if he didn't that .. He had the title !
JMB killed him on this race (imagine you with JMB behind you during all race ..you will die)
If Bradshow wanted title he had to say... JMB is the boss. ! Bradshow never accepted that

Gotta love those coloseum races. Sorry if i spelled that wrong.

@egaillard37 - YES! You know. People seem to forget Jean-Michel WAS the star rider at Honda. But Stanton's attitude was never really the best for good relations. People do not remember this.
-
@egaillard37 - Yes my friend, but the emotion from Jean Michel is wonderful, no? Why no bike stand for Jean Michel when he came to pits? Why no technicians for Jean when he returned? Maybe put the Honda down in disgust? Thank you!

You hear the announcer say at 4:40 - I don't see how you can't keep him out of the top 3 - which will win him the title. Well - it didn't work out did it. The entire SX community was shocked. The fact I'm still bothered by is 21 years later tells me Bradshaw still feels the sting of a title he should have had.

lol the good ole days back when bikes were fixed by kicking them

I use to race locally with Damon Bradshaw and saw him before he got big. I had seen his lap times compared to the pro's racing the day after his Amateur races were held and knew he had something big coming for the pro's when he turned 16..Stanton's attitude wasn't the best either compared to today's racers..Didn't think nothing of it back in the day, but looking back now, today riders do have more respect for each other, atleast in front of the camera.. JMB was the fastest for Honda back then

Rick Johnson owns all these guys.
Isn't this the race where larry brooks pushed his bike to the finish?

I don't think this is the exact race.
I've seen that video where Brooks pushes his bike over the finish line, and he is going the opposite way on the track. I think I read somewhere they ran some kind of race backwards. Don't know what it was though. :)

I really enjoyed this clip, 5 stars!
That track looks way harder than most supercross tracks looks today. Today the track are in to good shape and it's all about rhyth sections and bowl corners.

Thanks, KawasakiRider91.
I agree with your assessment of today's tracks. This season, the most challenging tracks were designed by ex-racers like Larocco, Pastrana, and Carmichael.
They were the toughest tracks and interestingly, James Stewart didn't win on any of them.
