you white people from out of state who are protesting for the projects just don't know that they would rob and murder your a**es at night in those projects. I'm from New Orleans so I know a little more about what they think of whites in the projects

The housing projects in New Orleans needed to be torn down years ago. I feel bad for the old people and the people that really cannot afford to live in better places, but I do not fell bad for the people who can work but just don't. Everyone in the United States has the same opportunity to make it in life as the next person.

Actually it wont. I'm a heavy industrial machinist. There china sends parts to US to machine. We are THAT good. If it goes over seas, i could become a photographer, go back into unix system administration, i just prefer the work i'm doing at the moment. and if i can't do that, i'll do the only proper thing to do, and kill myself.

Hey, i'm just a simple machinist. A high school drop out at that. Even i can see what these people deserve for the most part, and that is nothing. Only about 20% of the units in the new HUD Hope VI developments are reserved for the low-income. It is planned displacement of the poor, plain and simple. Those on fixed incomes, the working poor, which most of New Orleans - the realization of a neo-con's dream. HUD, like the rest of the Republican government, is for the corporations and the real estate developers, not the people.

You know blueberrypickn, I don't hate the poor, I don't hate black people, and yes, I understand why these people are upset, but I don't understand why they are protesting these mold infested houses. But we just don't see eye to eye on the situation. I'd like to stop with the comments and just close it at that. I'm angry at the fact that they have no idea of the true state of the houses. These people will have a place to live. And they don't own the land. Some of these people are more then capipable of getting a job and making it own their own. This housing is meant for those who are disabled, elderly, or need to find a job. People are abusing the system. And no sir, that's not racist, it's a fact. You want to assume that I'm a racist I guess? No, becasue white people do it too, so do latinos.

Of course they want to keep their neighorhood, They have much better neighborhoods planned for them. I could send you a website that lays out all the plans for NEW HOUSING. They are not just going to be left out. The people who are demolishing these mold invested homes are the ones eho are giving them new houses. It's called HUD.
