This footage is of the debut of the Bush Chain Gang, a project of the Backbone Campaign. It is shot on Broadway in New York City on April 29th, 2006. Between 200-300K people participated and yet the mainstream media basically ignored the "Demonstration for Peace, Justice and Democracy." "Invisible" a lyric in the piece "Cow Girl" by Underworld is used here to demonstrate that while the mainstream media may ignore public demonstrations "We the people" are filling the void by being the media. Thousands of photographes were taken during the march. The Chain Gang had an arch of photographers in front of it for the entire two miles of the march.
For more information on the Chain Gang, and to see them in appearances from Seattle to, Crawford to infront of the White House go to http://BushChainGang.org or http://backbonecampaign.org.
The visibility tools the Backbone Campaign provides to the movement will help us communicate our resiliancy, our common values, and our determination to reclaimm our government and our future.
