This is just another bigoted set of lies. The purpose of hate crimes laws is to prevent any group from being victimized violently solely for being part of that group and to give the federal government the power to prosecute a case if the local authorites decide for reasons of prejudice and bigotry to not do so. If someone is assaulted, beaten or murdered for being gay, and the case is not prosecuted because the local authorities have no problem with that, the federal government can step in.

Very true; I didn't think of that. What I can't understand is where she's getting these ridiculous and untrue examples of "christians" being removed from classes, jobs, etc.  Or people being locked up for years for hate speech. That's all total nonsense.

I'm part of the Canada Family Action Coalition and they talked about this on one of their newsletters. Its gotten really bad. The gay /leftist agenda has gone too far. I have nothing against gays but their ideas are being forced on society and on people in school. I disagree with that. Its a forceful promotion of ideals rather than an open dialogue.
