Blackpool are just unlucky I guess, and are as safe as any other UK theme park. Fact. Big Dipper IS re-opening once repair work is completed. Still stupid enough to think that it's unsafe? Don't go to the park. Free up the queue lines for people who have a mental capacity higher than a 2 year old.

I'm pissed off with everyone here saying "i erd rite, dat dis ride like crashed init, cuz itz wood so itz unsafe nd i aint ridin it agen cuz itz unsafe and deyr takin it down anyway." And "da big 1 crashed 2 init, dat makes it unsafe and i aint ridin dat either cuz itz not safe." LOOK. Accidents happen, like plane accidents. Very VERY rare, but unfortunately, they happen. If anything, rides get even safer after incidents, with extra health and safety implications placed upon them.

hmm - interesting. The attendants are wise to that now.

2 weeks ago, some fatso tried to take his skinny daughter on the ride and got told to wait for the next train, and that they would have to be in a separate cars because of the restraints issue you've just said. He'd be fine - while his daughter would bounce around like a rag doll.

I was impressed that these bored teenagers operating the ride spotted that instantly.

That is once we have bought our cameras, mounting and spare batteries and memory cards. Add to that the cost of entry to the park, transport, accomodation (I live in Aberdeen) and you begin to see that videos like this can cost upwards of £300. So slightly more than the cost of recharging the battery.

im 13 and thats one reason i love wooden rollercoasters :)
