@TriggerhappyKillz Yeah, in most shows, in later seasons the characters often step out of their typical behaviour for more special moments. It's getting boring and those moments aren't special anymore. But how many really emotional Cox-moments have been in this whole series? 5,6? That keeps it special. Scrubs without season 9 is simply a really really really great show, one of the best ever

What I loved about this show was how everyone stayed in character all the time. It wasn't like dr cox came out and said "JD, you're my friend". He said it "behind his back" and JD found out by tricking him and then being the comic relief. Sure, some say he "ruined" the moment, but that's JD, and it was great how he didn't go out of character and try to be serious with cox.

Haha this sceen was wonderful! :D I was distraught when JD announced that he was leaving and Dr. Cox told him how little he cared about him, this scene was a relief.

the doctor who says adios is the real J.D (his name is Jonathan Doris)

@romaggot and then they went and killed it when he came back in i think it was series nine when he was a teacher :/

@jaryd12345 Season 9? What are you talking about? That would be stupid.

@jaryd12345 There's a season 9? lol

I think JD somehow spoiled the moment
JD deserved this moment. Cox finally admitted what he already knew, but he needed to HEAR it from him, one way or another.
This was the best season ending coupled with the last montage...we'll miss you JD.
