Google Docs (and other Google products) require you to log in to Google - but that can be done with your CURRENT email account - you don't need to use GMail. Yahoo mail, AOL mail, Hotmail, or any other email address can be used to sign up and login to Google to use Google Docs, Calendar or other Google personalized products.

  • Great; i shared a Google Docs doc with someone that didn't have a Google Gmail-account. They received an email with a link, but the link did not lead them to the shared doc, but to a screen where they could accept or decline the invitation. When they accepted, they where shown a Google sign-in screen, where they did not know what to do. Google should improve that process! People are clueless when they see such a screen and assume they need to create a Google account with a Gmail-address....

  • @marcidarkside lmfao on typing like a typewriter Hahahahaha!!!!!

  • wow, I didnt know this, and I use almost all main Google services every day~ - hooray for sharing docs to hotmail/yahoo ^__^

  • This guy taps the keyboard like a typewriter... and the mouse button sounds like a spacebar.

Maybe the mic is incorporated into the keyboard...

Otherwise, is an old video. Gmail is a good choice if you don't care about privacy. Leave your private stuff in your closet.

  • Great video! Thanks so much
