Saw the initial intro to panic attacks after having one a night after too much red bull. Have since been having them all the time, and a constant fear of having a heart attack (even tho Im pefectly healthy) - This could be very good for me as I consider revisitng my GP after a very dismissive first meeting, Thanks.

PS: Have other sufferers found that GP's are particularly dismisive of the disorder?

Thank you for your post. My instructor sent us to your posts to help us with our Psych rotation in our nursing program. I too, suffer from panic attacks, anxiety disorder and depression. I look forward to viewing all of your videos in the hope that they may help me. Currently, I am only taking Lorazapam PRN for my attacks. I cannot take SSRIs. I haven't tried MAOIs, yet...but am thinking about it. Thank you for sharing. I know that this is a hard thing to do because letting others know is scary.

I have been agoraphobic and generally avoided all social situations and situations that put me under pressure purely because i was worried that i'd be sick, or i would have a heart attack, or something might happen to me....

Today i decided F*** IT! I have had enough of living out of my bedroom and things are going to change.... I start college in September so i literally have no choice but to get better and live a normal life, or wait to die in the comfort and safety of my bedroom. Ichose Live

Hi JP,
YouTube wouldn't let me accept your video response because it is already being used as a video response to someone else. I'm glad you posted it though because it brought me to you. I hope you have a wonderful day filled with smiles.
(((Big Hugs))) to you...

I agree with surfr71....the addiction to Xanax is HORRIFYING! It was hell on earth with the addiction to OxyContin (for my back)..withdrawing from a benzodiazipine is comparably worse for me...bc of the tunnel vision, blurred too, and the feeling that TIME just STANDS STILL until you are able to get the xanax again. My attacks started about a year and a half ago. Some days, Id rather just die.

I had my first panic attack four months ago and am still suffering greatly from the repurcussions as well as depression, SAD and subsequent addiction to meds. I subscribed to hopefully learn from you. This is a good thing you're doing. Keep it up!
