its killing me that so many ppl only know this song because of the movie Belly. This was an absolute CLASSIC as soon as it came out. thats y it was used in Belly in the 1st place. The younger generation needs to learn some history about the music maybe then you'll expect more from your fav performers...I cant call them artists 'cause that's not what they are.

@csklamar Technically, the movie cannot be classified as a "Hip Hop" film seeing as the plot is not about hip hop, but in retrospect it is. The films general praise comes from its highly stylized "noir-like" visual design and cinematography, which is seen in the majority of Hype Williams HIP HOP music videos. The movie is also very popular among HIP HOP audiences. So ya, it is sort of a hip hop film
