  • Hey, great video. I had my moulds taken for these yesterday (major gag moment). I've had my front six teeth on my top row bracket'd for 4/5 months now. I still have to keep these on and I have to wear this retainer at the same time. So I'm kinda nervous as I don't know anyone who's worn the braces + retainers together, so I have a few questions..

Do you have to keep the twin block in all the time?

Does it ache when you first get it?

And is it hard to have to move your jaw forward to bite down?

  • @chloflorence My ortho told me to keep mine in all the time unless im eating, but yours could give you different directions. Yes it does ache a little but pain means moving! So it means it's working but for me it didnt hurt until i started twisting the block. And for me when i first got it it was hard to move it because it felt huge in my mouth because i wasnt used to wearing it. Also for the first week or so you produce a lot more salvia and its really gross but it gets better! Im on 4 months

  • How much did yours cost??Please reply Im going to the orthodontist in a week or two and I might ask for this instead of a bionator.

  • @kinzie8989 Im not sure how much exactly, my mom paid for it ask your dentist if its an option for you

  • Your lisp has gotten much better in these few days.

  • @docugraf Ya i noticed that too it will probably not fully go away but ya its getting better :)

  • Great vid! I've had my twin blocks for a few weeks now, and I'm really getting used to them. The other morning I was just about to eat my cereal when I realised they were still in!!! For the first week it aches quite alot, then after that u don't know they're there!

  • @Mikelino5 Haha no problem!

  • @mattboy7991 thanks :)

  • @glumpfi nope! some people do but my ortho told me not too
