It's been awhile, but I've finally uploaded the first part of a series of sweeping lessons that I'm going to do. Someone asked me in a comment a while ago about doing a lesson on beginner sweep shapes, so here they are. Instead of showing you how to sweep pick, I'm trying to show how it can be musically applied. Just try not to get bored if you're not much of a theory person haha.

As I said in the video, Here are some supplementary video/reading materials I found:
Triads:
http://www.zentao.com/guitar/theory/organize2.html
http://www.ultimate-guitar.com/lessons/chords/simple_triads.html
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tYPLMcfPooY

Harmonized scale:
http://www.zentao.com/guitar/theory/chord-scale.html
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=z9FxHxBp9C4

This is just the first video. I plan to make more, so please leave feedback about the video. What you liked/what could be better. After all, I made the video for you all to learn sweeping :)

  • sick lesson man :3 are you using the same stock pickups in that guitar or did you change them? you get a pretty sick sound :D

  • @Swedernish Thanks! No, I installed a set of EMG 81/85s, great pickups

  • dude from what i can tell awsome lesson but i dont understand it. But, thats because i dont know basics yet. but gotta ask what kindah amp do you got?

  • @MrAasshole this is an advanced lesson, so yea you'd need to know the basics first. In this video, I'm using a little digitech rp50 just going through a 15 watt esteban amp. it's good for practice

  • @fhatsk8er I think thats what I mean, Thanks dude your the only tutor that will respond

  • @TeamLib3rty Do you mean playing 2 notes over 2 different strings? I'll send you a couple of interval lesson sites that might help
