TPTB at DOOL's REFUSES to use iconic past characters for anything more than a cameo here and there.

NBC was expected no to renew the show. But with the cut to the cast, DOOL is safe ... for now. It won't last too much longer. I just hope that Mama Horton is still alive and they can end the show with her blowing Stephano's brains out and slapping the shit out of Kate just for the hell of it.

The show is preparing itself for the end! DOOL has always been my favorite soap, but I would've rather seen it canceled than to see so many of its top stars released due to budget reasons. The show began to get back some of that charm that it had back in the good old "Days." Having Marlena (gone), Hope, Kayla (gone), Kim (gone), Anna (gone), Lexi & Billie (gone) all together again was priceless. At least we're left with Hope, Nicole, Lexi, Chloe & Sami to carry the show now.

I stopped watching when Patch died back in the 90's and when I heard he was coming back...I started watching and loved how in and Kayla found their way back!!! They don't make couples like that anymore. Love Kimberely.
