  • Julia's an amazing actor.

  • This clip also shows how rape was and continues to be used increasingly as a weapon of torture and war. I'm sad to think the only comments on the clip concern Raul Julia's acting -- although it is definitely outstanding.

  • If the man who shot and killed the woman at 7:10 was REAL man, he would have fought that woman unarmed and risked getting his beat or just killed her with his bare hands. Any man who uses a weapon to kill a woman or child instead of his bare hands is a fucking coward.

  • I really like this movie for it gives out the truth of what was going on during that horrible time. I never knew the scale of the violence and death that had gone on until I took my latin america history class and we covered this and watched this movie.

A question since I do not know any spanish except for a few words, what are the nuns singing. it starts on 3:19 - I am asking because it not only am I curious but it sounds very pretty.

  • De colores

  • what;s sad is that this the gov in el salvador and the us would do this. disgusting assholes. i pray for all the people who suffered during that time. i'm grateful that my family there was protected but sad that they had to see that for 12 yrs.

  • The general in the church -- is that d'Aubisson?

  • @FeralSage Las Cárceles Clandestinas by Ana Guadalupe Martínez documents the use of rape as a form of torture.

  • Evil and thats why God in His Infinite Justice created the Abyss.....for souls just like the rapists and murderers.....who have no mercy.

  • @TheFatPersonsGod: I know about the other segments. I've watched the movie quite a few times on YouTube. (I visited the chapel where Oscar Romero was assassinated in January.) I actually have the DVD at home, but often show it to friends on YouTube while I'm traveling. For me, the sad thing about the comments made about this segment was that nobody seemed to take note of the use of rape as a weapon of torture in war.

  • @FeralSage - Theres 11 parts of this movie on youtube with plenty of comments not concerning Raul Julias Acting, this one just happens to contain a lot of them
