  • @MrCastodian -a ship could carry at its max weight. by far russias most numerous ship is the Parchim class corvette(24), which has a displacement of UNDER 1000 tons FULLY LOADED(it also carries NO cruise missiles and has a shitty range), whereas our most numerous ship is the Arleigh burke class destroyer(61), which displaces over 10000tons fully loaded and has a SUPERIOR range. if we were to compare russias destroyers then we would be looking at 10-1 odds, can you win against 10-1 odds??? NO!!!

  • @MrCastodian first of all the longest ranging russian cruise missile is the P-1000, which has a range that is still over 200nm less than the Tomahawk and cant be carried by russian destroyers, frigates, or corvettes, only the Kiev class aircraft carrier(which is no longer in service)and the slava class cruiser(only 3 are in service and each can only carry 16 missiles, whereas even our destroyers can carry 96 tomahawks). and YES tonnage means everything, it determines how much fuel, and ordinance-

  • @MrCastodian give him a break, he plays too many strategy games, knows too much facts but at the same time knows nothing of how real life combat works. trust me I argued with him before.

  • @hotpocketpoison War is not about the owner of most missiles on the paper wins, then the U.S. shuld crushed Vietnam in a week and Russia Afghanistan on the same short time.

To attack a country like Russia you must first get past their fleet, then their air forces, their air defenses and ultimately their coastal defenses

It must simultaneously defend their own country and protect their other interests.

Is not only to sail into the Black Sea or the Baltic with 125 ships and start lunching missiles

  • @hotpocketpoison Twice tonnage? What has that got to do, they're not worse armed becuse of that, they still carry heavier and better anti ship missiles than the American counterpart.

    "Corvette are absolutely useless"

Sivuch 8st SS-N-22 Sunburn, Tarantula 4st SS-N-22 Sunburn, Nanuchka 8st SS-N-26 do you call it useless in a defensive warfare?

You live in a dream world :)

  • @hotpocketpoison BGM-109A Tomahawk (TLAM-A) has the long range, but it is a nuclear-armed version! The other is between 700-900nm.

The Air Force 460 AGM-129 are all being scrapped due to reliability issues and high maintenance costs!

And is well aware of how many U.S. Navy ships ther are in service, and in the Atlantic ocean US is superior, but Russia is not in the Atlantic....

They do not meet the open sea, but where they can have support from land-based troops.

  • @MrCastodian -to even carry. not to mention the ships of the US navy all have a tonnage of at least twice what their russian counterpart does(and corvettes are absolutely useless, most displace no more than 4000tons). and no, you could not stop the amount of missiles we would be able to fire because WE actually have enough ships to fire enough missiles to saturate any defenses, russia doesnt.

  • @MrCastodian how about you research it before making assumptions, the range of the Tomahawk is about 1600nm, but thats not even our longest ranging cruise missile, there is also the AGM-129 with a range of over 2000nm. and since the US has 22 cruisers, 60 destroyers, 27 frigates(these ships are the smallest of the 3 by far), and 71 submarines then the russian navy would have no hope of EVER destroying them, they would need an impossible volume of munitions which would be to much for their ships-

  • @hotpocketpoison 5 cruisers, 13 destroyers, 7 frigates, 42 corvettes and 40 submarines is in active service, are not you just sail past when they are in defensive positions, is quite a dangerous force.

And besides, there are more missiles than the Brahmos, so everyone does not need to be armed with them.

but you might think that 50 SS-N-19 Shipwreck from Oskar submarines is a piece of cake to stop?

  • @hotpocketpoison Haha, for lunching the Tomahawk you need to actually be pretty close in this regard, 1.000nm is relatively short distances, because they have not 1600nm range :)

Then you know that there is a Russian air force and air defenses that can shoot down Tomahawk huh? So the "oblivion" is not the whole truth.
