  • Ugh i have a problem with that. Restore, then why did you put a corvette engine in it, so much for being original.

  • Good point. It was an interesting day, looking at the hundreds of cars at the event. Some were faithful and true restorations, and some were ground-up fantasy builds - and then, you're right, there are those in the middle (like Surfer Girl) that are mostly restorations, but then they change the specs they don't care for.

  • I think some other collectors of classic cars look down on the Woodies as some sort of joke; you don't really see many (or any) of them in a typical classic auto show. But that's what makes seeing 300 of them in one day such an incredible thing.
