  • everything will be recycled eh?, if we could do that, why wouldnt we do it now

  • @jaydools

    Ask an economist.

Monetary systems encourage waste for sake of cost efficiency. What would you say would be a more expensive method of disposal, a landfill or a recycling process? It would also restrict the material options companies have for their products if recycling was mandated. They naturally favor balancing cheap materials with functionality in such a way as to reduce manufacturing costs while maximizing profit.

  • Another point is,I don't know if you have ever achieved something of allot of effort and time to perfection,But once its completed its never as interesting or good as it seemed when it was being made. My point is this, although everyone wants a utopia,i believe once we get there we will want the current state of society back. Sure it has its problems but its not human to have 100% perfection and efficiency. If i lived in this city i would go build a house out of scrap in the wild instead.

  • @benpoulden1

Which you would have the freedom to do if you wanted to. It's not about perfection at all, it's about improving things to the best of our abilities. Abilities that will FOREVER be limited, but ALWAYS improving. To utilizing the best methods science and technology has to offer to solve problems that affect us all. After the invention of central air conditioning and heating, who complained and demanded the old way back? Why would they, if they could just shut it off anyway...

  • My only criticism would be: what would happen to the ancient cities of Europe and Asia. Our ancient monuments ? That would all be wiped from the face of the earth, no ?

  • @AmersfoortTristan

No, they would be kept because they are historical monuments.

  • one word: Panopticon ;)

  • then we give the machines the ability to choose and they take over the world

    Terminator style

  • so everyone will become mathematicians ?

  • looks like a ghetto for the elite

  • @SophistAssassin Yes, I do see your point here. But the huge transformation of the worlds city's more or less forces you to live in a certain manor. If it was up to me, it would be implemented.

  • @SophistAssassin I think they were joking. :p
