Occupy Oakland protesters fight back against the black bloc vandals committing crimes on Nov 2nd. When you ask "Where were the cops that day?" I say "There they are in black". I hope I'm wrong, but we'll see when we arrest some of them. The Canadians in 2007 were able to prove their black bloc vandals were undercover police.

Mayor Quan thanked the protesters for protecting property. The Oakland PD said they are "anarchists" that not are not part of Occupy. But I haven't seen 1 arrested yet.

Rallies are exciting, but keep the big picture in mind - OWS is trying to peacefully pass a constitutional amendment to eliminate money from politics. We already have over 2/3rds vote of public support. Stay calm and be ready for them next time. DO NOT ALLOW THEM INTO ANY OWS EVENT. They are UNABLE to help OWS improve our 2/3rds vote. Make it an issue in every GA those who wish to disrupt OWS with crimes/violence will be put under citizens arrest by our own OWS security team in cooperation with local PD and mayor. Send volunteers ahead of marches to form a human chain around high-profile buildings.
OWS is peaceful towards getting money out of politics, but NOT vandals. Remember, these black bloc vandals CAN NOT call the cops because THEY ARE COMMITTING A CRIME during our legal protest. So they're fair game for target practice. I'm thinking tasers, mace, handcuffs or slip a cheap cell phone in their bag and track them with GPS online. It's perfectly legal to apprehend a criminal and demand he be arrested. If you can put one down, have him arrested and identified as a cop or agent of the 1%, then it'll be a MAJOR victory for the 99%. Happy hunting!
But plan ahead because, as you can see in the video, they're very organized like a pack of wolves. Here are their obvious characteristics:
- Black clothes
- Full face mask (which probably can't be pulled off)
- A silver collar (probably a zipper for the mask)
- Backpack
- They assist a comrade who's in trouble
- Intimidate protesters who disagree by pushing, restraining or yelling at them to calm down (but they NEVER injure protesters unless someone injures them. Sly legal technicality in case they're ever proven to be undercover cops.)
- There are plain clothes comrades pulling dissenting protesters back. Watch blue shirt guy restrain the guy with the yellow helmet, then a guy with an orange shirt, then the yellow helmet guy again. Very effective, but these are not cops so they're not important to catch. Just videotape, ask him for his name and ID and move on. (Of course he won't tell you, but his reaction will be priceless.)
- They block or bump HD cameras
The black bloc tactic is an easy way to discredit a worthy cause that is being used over and over.

Enough about me & OWS. Tell me more about black bloc. What do they stand for? Where is their website? Where can people go to sign up? What are their accomplishments (and please don't go back over 20 years into ancient history)? Is there a leader? Do they have regular meetings like OWS?
