Well done Claus! What a crush by Taimanov!

I love the Sicilian so I'll try to incorporate this opening into my repertoire. Although I don't expect my opponents will roll over like White did here! Seems to me that one hallmark of master level chess is not to settle for small advantages but to accumulate even more and really put the screws to the other player until they cry uncle.

It's true that masters sometimes have more patience (and confidence!) which allows them to accumulate, just like in this game.

Hey Claus,
I love your videos! Thanks! One problem I have with your videos is that I think that they may be a little inaccessable to beginners. In some of your past videos you failed to mention some very natural variations that may be obviously bad in your eyes but may not be so obvious to others including me. In this video it is not so obvious why the ending position is losing for white. What if white just tries to hold his defense and play Rf1 in the final position?

Thank you very for much for your comment.
And I agree with you. In future videos I should probably consider more closely which group of chess players I'm adressing. Point taken!
