I had the pleasure of going to his bar with a few friends on a slow Thursday. We were the only customers (beside one group that came in for one round of drinks and left) and ended up hanging out at the bar with him for well over 2 hours talking to him. We let him decide what to make us and everything was fantastic. Chris' knowledge of New Orleans and cocktail history is encyclopedic, and he's truly a genuinely nice and engaging person. Everybody should experience that at least once in life.

Wow. I wish I would've had the pleasure to order a drink from him on a slow evening there. He embodies the mythical idea of what I imagine a bartender used to be. Talk about an experience.
