I think the reason why McCain lost was

1. He was too close to Bush, most of America doesnt like Bush

2. He was too much like Bush

3. Palin was an idiot and raised racism in people.

4. Obama stood for change while McCain stood for the same stuff, and the people wanted change

5. He was old

1. Continue to embrace Bush and his fucked up policies.

The Number One Reason that McCain lost was that he was an old man in the eyes of a majority of the population and he was running against and young and sexy considered Black man full of life and energy while you didn't know whether McCain was going to make it through his first term or not.
