What you are saying could be interpreted to mean that paying my Social Security Disability check with the tax money imposed on your tobacco products over listening to what these ads have to say is the lessor of two evils! To each his or her own!
-
My heart goes out to you and to her!

I luv how everyone who takes drugs thinks this is dumb! If you say tv dosent advertise tobacco you are wrong!!!! think of all those tv shows that have tobacco in them! That's advertising epcially smoking!!!!!
-
um this looks like surrogates. but i didnt see bruce willis so i guess this is the better version

Why are people complaining about tobacco companies? They are not allowed to advertise at all. Willing adults buy what they have to offer. They are not making anyone do anything against their will. They are not pushing their product to anyone, no ads, no television time, NOTHING. If minors get cigaretts then its the fault of whoever sold it to them. I find the sex products plastered all over the television far more disturbing not to mention all the antidepersents taking up air time.

This is just an informational ad. Truth is all about what commercials would be like if tobacco companies actually told the truth. I didn't know that smoking kills 1200 people a day, but now I do thanks to this ad. It's about spreading knowledge. It's not so much about getting people to quit, it's more aiming towards discouraging young people from starting.

omg. when the 1200 of the just fell, i was like "OMGGG!" powerful commercial.
-
What scares me the most is that my mom might be one of those 1200 one day.
-
I don't tell you to smoke, don't tell me to quit. That means don't try to convince me in any way, shape, or form. I hope the words, "lost cause," hold some meaning for you.

@PhauxTheFox Theyre not intended to force people to stop. Its just telling people the truth about smoking. If smokers feel like theyre making a mistake, they quit. Its all about choices.
Yes it's horrible how these companies kidnap people in the middle of the night, strap them down and force them to smoke until they die from it. :P
It's all about choices, you idiots. Especially in this day and age, when everyone is totally INFORMED on the dangers of smoking and the horrors of addiction, yet choose to start anyways. Everyone is responsible for their own actions, yet these proven fools want to blame everyone else for their own idiocy.

I know this has nothing to do with the commercial, but did anyone else think to themselves "What if a car needed to cross threw that area?" Don't get me wrong this commercial is powerful, but it's just something that came to my mind.
