The head of Russian Orthodoxy is calling on religious leaders in Kiev to drop plans to create a separate Church in Ukraine. Patriarch Alexy II is holding a service in the Ukrainian capital to mark the 1,020th anniversary of Christianity in Russia.

Kiev was the "Mother of Russian Cities" as Prince Oleg proclaimed when he came from Novgorod - the first capital of Rus- in 882 AD . Kiev became the major Russian city until its fall to Mongols in 1240. As Kiev was destroyed by Mongols and population moved North Metropolitan Maximus transferred the see to Vladimir in 1316 and in 1322 it was moved to Moscow. Country of Ukraine exists since 1991. Uncanonical Kiev Patriarchate is not recognized by any other Orthodox church and exists since 1992...

its sickening abusing religion, language, culture, media , to create their fantasy of a great Russian empire, lying and rewriting history, they did it all. They need Ukraine to prove to themselves that they are Russians. Moscow has betrayed Ukraine, we will never forget that.
