SociaLite is a sustainable microenterprise making solar lighting accessible to the world's poorest communities. Volunteers from New York's Cooper Union and Ghana's WA Polytechnic developed and are promoting this self-assembled solar lighting system. Project volunteer Genice Jacobs Simenauer shot the video in June 2010 during her visit to Baazing village in Ghana, one of the first communities to adopt the SociaLite lantern system.
