Before you shower try mixing sugar and lemon juice until it makes a paste sort of deal and rub on you face-obviously avoid the eye area. I can't claim this works for sure as I only ever get mini mild episodes, but this started clearing mine up by the next day.

hahaha about the spoon. Heat will pop your pimple but if anything, I just take a pretty hot shower and hold my face still as the water hits it for a while...lots of times that'll do it. Found out on accident when I'd just get out of a hot shower and see it in the mirror. So yea, no more hot metal on face action :)
