@GrooveDoctor77 I think, Phil knows that money or wealth isn't everything. He has said in various interviews that he lives in a very modest house and try to safe his costs (he doesn't want to be like a rich person, because he didn't do all those hits because of ..). I think, the point is that money doesn't bring happiness. If you had many divorces, you can't see your children and it feels like you're not appreciated for your work, the life feels pointless, even if you're rich.

@daonfpe Words elude me (but to cut to the chase..cause really I'm an un-grateful Asshole..) Prog Rock would'nt be what it is (or was) without Phillip Collins. How to put it? oh yea. He's Tarantella Phil. The thing is..with Genesis..it's such a heady thing. If they were to announce that they were going to do shows (even just a couple) "the Presses Stop".

@bastidiaz Knowing when to quit is knowing the moment of magic. His voice is gone and his version of "I Want to Know What Love Is" was sad. His hand is not young any more and he can't turn back the time on that either. He has more to be grateful for than most people. We will all miss him but it's time to say good bye and good luck.
