12d Model - 3D Civil, Surveying and Water Engineering Made Easy
This is a sneak preview of 12d Model's Visualisation product. Version 10 will incorporate timelines to add greater functionality to the simulation component of 12d Model.
All of the information you see in the video is simulated plotted data which is presented to you in a 3D Model. however this could easily be actual plotted data from a real project.
12d Model is often demonstrated with real data given by potential clients who want to see their real projects in action in 12d Model.
As you can see the simulation takes us from a housing development, to a highway and then to a city.
This project (incorporating the shown surface models); could essentially begin with Surveyors using 12d Survey and 12d Field to capture and plot points from their Total Station or Survey Instrument.
Surveyors can then instantaneously feed this information to the Civil Design team in the office (via GPS for example) who have live data.
This single project can be shared across various Civil and Surveying disciplines and used for - Earthworks and Volume Calculations, Concept & Final Civil Design (of Road, Highways, Intersections, Roundabouts), Water Modelling (Drainage, Sewer and Flood), Environmental Impact Studies, Utilities Design and many more.
12d Model can store large projects and be seamless across many different Civil & Surveying disciplines. This means that your team (in house or external contractors) are all on the same page.
Also 12d Model can import and export data between major industry software packages and if you have a customised package, then you can always write a macro to import and export data out of 12d Model.
Finally because 12d Model works in a native 3D environment, it means that you see the project as it truly is in the context of the world that we live in.

12d is the best...
I've designed and create movie for my previous company using 12dv7 in Indonesia. it was 5 years ago. even though it was simple visualization, but Dr Lee likes it...

@rdmviet - This visualisation was created for our User Conference initially. It was more to highlight that in Version 10 we will have timeline capability, something that we have been talking about delivering to our users. This is not the final version. Prior to V10 coming out, I will try and get another video up with the latest developments.
