omg. You need to do video digests of all metafilter internet drama comments from now on.
I still can't believe this whole thing hasn't had any explanation or legitimate commentary from BB (let alone a real apology).

Boing Boing really, really stinks.
The We Are Just A Blog (WAJAB) defense is weak sauce for sure. BB is a major media outlet, valued at over $100 million. It's editors are Anti-Christian, Anti-Arab. They actually conduct and encourage religious hate speech.
Their agenda is quite political as well. Their moderators are abusive and they practice selective censorship.

My mother is, in fact, a big media company. And my papa was a rodeo.

Did BB ban you because you talked about sex?
@ batcakes - no. I actually have no idea why I was 'unpublished'. if you have evidence to back your claim, please present it here. otherwise, it's just a baseless, unsubstantiated attack. if you know something I don't, please share your information with the rest of us. and no, I don't like being attacked maliciously by former friends, especially those with big media company platform to do it with.

According to the "internet" she was unpublished from Boingboing because she burned and injured a woman at a Maker Faire and never took any responibility for it, she also sued a broke pornstar and threatened to ruin her financially for using the name Violet Blue (even though the pornstar used it up to a year before she did).
Again, according to the "internet" she was also recently fired from her writing gig at the SF Chronicle for pissing someone off. This chick is apparently a hack.

@arcadeplus Please share any links to the information you've supplied. We need these.
BoingBoing re-published every single post. The woman at Maker Faire was burned from melted plastic set on fire by the man running the flame blaster, and blown through the air by the wind and the machine that Mark Pauline was running (Hovercraft); he refused to stop when the Fire Department arrived.
All online: I ran the Running Machine, no fire. My first published work was in 1998. I quit The Chronicle.
