It's a TV ad from the 1980's, when MK was still being built - they used to run ads to get companies to set up offices there. Used to be a lot of Japanese companies in the town

i work in the building where this was filmed and yes it is the argos head office.
the desk in the reception area has changed and the place looks very clean and new, not like now .

This advert must be something to do with attracting commercial business to MK. If you pause the video at 57 seconds, you can read a document that discusses MK Development Corporation, Kingston and a figure of £1million.
Laughably, Kingston is now home to one of Tesco's largest stores - how I wish I'd paid £1million for the land.
