False, We generate 48% of our electricity from coal. It is the cheapest, and most efficient way to fuel the grid. Companies are switching to Natural Gas because Obama and the EPA is basically shutting down all Coal Burning Plants with their new regulations. Natural Gas prices are low right now and we have an abundance of Natural Gas, just like we do Oil, but I can promise you that the price of Natural Gas will go up drastically, and so will utility bills.

You know what is putting the coal companies out of business? It's the gas companies!

Coal is the dirtiest fuel of all. Burning coal has contaminated every stream and lake in our country with mercury, causing every state in the country to have a fish consumption advisory. Everywhere coal has been has left a legacy of polluted water, degraded landscapes and communities.

We need to get miners training in other jobs so they can participate in moving our country away from dirty fossil fuels

He said that under his plan of CAP and TRADE that coal fired plants would be bankrupted and electricity rates would "necessarily Skyrocket".....What part of that didn't you understand? Of course, the MSM media didn't report on that...now did they? Well, Obama has bypassed Congress cause Cap and Trade couldn't pass....and gave direct authority to the EPA to impose those standards. I hope you people don't make the same mistake again. Vote all Democrats out!!

You know, on election day in 2008 as I was working as a poll watcher....a retired member of the UMW came out of the polling place and told me that he didn't want to....but his UNION told him to vote for Obama..and he did. His reasoning? He has a good pension and they pay his health care so he had to vote as he was told to do. Now...their jobs are being threatened and I don't feel sorry for them. They will be thrown under the bus as we all will. Obama said he'd bankrupt coal before election.

Haha they'll have cleaner lungs. This is such a stupid advert. Obama's being responsible by protecting the environment and transitioning towards the energy of the future. If you don't invest now you will be way behind in renewable energy. China is already producing more solar and wind power than the U.S. LOL "extreme epa"?! The U.S. has some of the poorest environmental regulations in the industrialized world. Shame on American Crossroads for this garbage.
