This truck has survived years of abuse and keeps on running. It should have been in the junk yard years ago. Bought it off an indian reservation in Washington State for $75 about 10 years ago. I should have left it there. Maybe someday I will finish it. So far it has new floor pans, cab corners, inner and outer rockers, doors, front clip, box, glass, crate 350, 700R4, radiator, alternator, starter, carb, headers, master cylinder, springs, shocks, brakes, u-joints, drive shaft, exhaust, parking, running, stop, headlights, bright moulding, rear bumper, outside door handles, outside mirrors, sunroof, door panels, seat reupholstery, carpet, bright thresholds, zzzzzzzzzzzzz. It does still have the original tailgate which is a total rust-out. As far as I can tell this thing worked hard all its life until it could no longer move. It was parked and left to die a slow miserable death, or as some would say "It was rode hard and put away wet"....and then I ( a sucker ) came along.

  • its definately a 69 but have u realized that u got a 68 grille in that thing?

  • @PLUMPER101

I really appreciate your input here. What it is, is a 69 C-10 that has a '71 front clip. In other words, the entire front end came from a 1971 C-10. Fits pretty good.

  • I got a 71 with crate 350 and 700R4 tranny as well, what driveline did you use? Can't find one that matches up?

    Please let me know. Thanks

  • @RugMncher Thanks for the comment. I had a major failure with the TB-350 that was in it so I had it towed to AAMCO. Then it dawned on me that now is an excellent time to install a 700R4. AAMCO accommodated my wishes even including a custom driveshaft. I never did ask who their supplier was but it is a thing of beauty. The only problem I have is there is no engine braking between 3rd and 4th. Get to 4th and you are good.

  • hey a little secret if u want to keep it stock look 4 headlights with the triangle in tha center of them they are original and could help u with keeping it original

  • Thanks for the input on the quads. I never thought of that. I'll look at it.

  • @PLUMPER101 thats a 71 front clip a 68 wouldnt fit cause the hood and radiator support is different along with the fenders. i know this cause i own a 67 68 and a 69.

  • @trkklr77 yea i know that..i was just pointing out that it was a different grill...

  • @philthyco

    no, its a 71/72.

    69 and 70 match

    67 and 68 match.

you could put a 69-72 on any 69-72 but a 67/68 are completely different and dont work with the 69-72 hood.

    gmc will go from 67-72.

  • @dickandchristina ya ur right that defiantly the front out of a '71. check out my video of my truck and u guys will notice the resemblance

  • Thats really nice man, jealous

  • real nice interior.

    i see alot of possibilities!

  • thats not a 69 grill?
