is it only dwarf or is it all gouramis? O,.o because i have a male 3 spot gourami and i was planning on getting a crowntail betta >.<

@capekate Before i saw this i had a betta and a dwarf gourami that did fine... my betta got sick and died a day ago. (walmart betta) i have a hexagon 35 gallon so maybe that helped

@Dangerdude000 Hi! As was mentioned in the replies below. You really need a large tank to try and make it work. yes, sometimes it depends on the fish behavior, but for the most part and from my experience being a moderator on a Fish site, these two do not normally get along. Best of luck! :-)

i have a blue male betta and a female orange gurrami can they live together in the same tank? today is the first day and betta is chasing gurami all around the tank.pls answer me in the store they said to me its ok.Maybe betta is stressed because its the first day????

Bettas and Gourami's should never be in the same tank together. They will fight. They both belong to the same family of Anabantoids, that have a labyrinth organ. That meaning they both go to the surface of the tank to breathe air. For some reason, and possibly due to being so closely 'related' in a sense, they do not get along at all.Everyone that I know that has tried this combo, finds that it just does not work. There is going to be injuries. You should bring the Gourami back asap.
