I recently bought a great sports car. I went to look at countless cars only to find paddles and (or) all wheel drive. It takes the driver out of the equation. I must have a proper 6 (or 7) speed driving the rear wheels. I feel connected. All paddled shifted cars are not equal. The true dual manual gearboxes with dual electronic clutches are far & few between. Oh, I love the orange on that Z06.

@133maxiboy all good. no worries
-
My bad, I thought you were talking about the Porsche models and not the racing classes. You are def correct when it comes to the racing classes.
-
@133maxiboy you cant buy a c6r genius. im talking about the vettes that are used to race and represnt chevy
-
Wrong, they are only sold as H-pattern manuals.

A modern DSG auto will get you there quicker, but the manual will get you there with a smile.
-
Manual transmission is a lot more fun paired with traction control off of course!
-
@timmunn1 It's not about learning how to drive a manual. I've had plenty of manuals and the new A6 is pretty sweet. You're just pissed because someone probably schooled you in a auto, lol

Sunset daytona orange is, in my opinion, twelve times prettier than atomic orange.
-
Definitely. Taking the manual shifter out is taking the spirit away from driving. Wheres the fun in hitting a button?
How many manual transmission cars in Indy 500 or any other race trac? If you answered zero you were correct... Your legs can't compete with the paddles in modern days. My manual tranny was removed and placed right next to the 8track player 6ft under cause they both weren't good enough for the Smithsonian.

@presidentialpawn Yep, paddles are certainly faster but I prefer driving a manual - they're more fun to me.
