You're very clever :) Thanks for spreading this important message. I, express myself in an alternative way (not goth, emo or such, I'm just me) which of course also causes me to be met with a lot of prejudees, but I am doing my best just not to sink to their level. I agree that being polite is definitely the way to go, however I disagree with your statement about labeling. Most people, ( I won't say all) , only use these terms such as preps or goths or emos, etc. as either a term of pride( because they consider themselves amount said group), or a term of hate. whatever the reason, the human mind is made to group things together, it's how we are wired. If you doubt that, pick up some psyche books sometimes. Or think of how we learn, by grouping things toge

It's funny, because many people like to label themselves, then get mad when others try to label them. It's like this never-ending cycle in stereotyping that I just don't understand. I don't call myself "Goth" because I like dark things, just as I don't call myself a "Prep" because I like things of the complete opposite (these being just mere examples I've noticed others associating with certain labels). I'm just me, human like my peers and the only name I go by was given to me at birth.
