Mine was doing the same thing but I fixed it with a 50 cent screw and it is still working good. I have a video on my channel showing how I did it.

This is the worst cleaner ever made. I have had three. first one did not make it through first season. First one was rebuilt - died less than two weeks later. Hayward sent out a new one which is doing the death spin after two months of service. Purposely selling something they know is a faulty design should get them sued over this!

It is 100% piece of shit in 2 years i owned 2 of them they are both in my 20 feet deap ditch.

Mine just started doing it yesterday. I switched gears, you can see it rotate with the gear cover off. All the hoses looked fine. What do you do to fix it?

That's a bad gear box - mine last about a year then go bad - the phantom works great out of the box, but falls apart in 1-2 years. I am switching to a robotic cleaner - done fixing/replacing my phantom.

That's more movement than I get. Mine just stop at the first wall it hits!! I'm in for the class action suit. Hayward needs to do something for its customers. This is a joke!

The Haywood Navigator is just as bad, I am forever replacing parts. Haywood id just simple crap!

I'd like to start a class action suit against Hayward. My Viper is always in for repairs for the same thing. I think it is a design flaw. Anyone want in?
