In May 2009 students and faculty from Purdue University (West Lafayette, IN) traveled to Bangang, Cameroon to work with the African Centre for Renewable Energy & Sustainable Technology (www.acrest.org) on affordable transportion and sustainable technology projects. The students worked on a basic utility vehicle during their senior capstone design class and then traveled to Cameroon to work with ACREST and experience how the project will be used. The affordable transportation project was also supported by partners at the Institute for Affordable Transportation (www.drivebuv.org).
Neat BUV!
You almost need a hand cranked winch to get it out of the deep mudholes!
Awesome Job!
