Our website: http://www.info-on-scuba-diving.com

Info on scuba diving was given access to the facilities of the Barbados Defence Force.

It is one of the few chambers in the Caribbean that are on standby 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

Dr Michael Brown and his team run the hyperbaric chamber there for the use of not just the defence force, but also civilians needing a variety of treatments and for scuba divers needing treatment for decompression sickness which is also known as "the bends"

Info on scuba diving would like to thank Colonel Alvin Quintyne for permitting us to film at the facility.

  • Very informative, Dr. Brown. in our younger days we only ascend from any depth when our air ran out. but we were so fit that we never got decompression sickness (the bends) although we long overstayed our depth time.
