Note: I'm using the latest version of Google Chrome as of 28 January 2012, so the issue is still not fixed even if the first appearance was 3 years ago.

UPDATE: The folks over at reddit found another solution if the html5 thing doesn't work:
"For me the issue was multiple flash plugins, if you go to "chrome://plugins" there should be an entry for Flash. If you have the same issue I had, you should see it say "Flash (2 files)". You can then proceed by clicking the details button in the top right and disabling the oldest listed flash plugin. I went from constant crashes to zero since I fixed it a few days ago. I hope this helps.
If you have 2 of the same version, disable the one in the C:\Windows\SysWOW64\ path."

  • SOMEONE HELP ME! Im not amazing at computers and don't really feel like trying, haha, but earlier today i was watching a youtube vid and then it suddenly stopped and now in the middle of the screen it says "missing plug-in" not just for youtube,but pretty much ANY video on the internet- even a lot of the ads! I don't know what's causing it,im looking for solutions,but if anyones experienced the problem and knows the fix, pleeeeeeeaaaaaaaaaaaasse help. thank you :)
