Search for a video where she is practicing in her home with her mom on piano. of course there is a mic in the room but not on her....so you can hear she actually does project her voice to quite a degree!!!! dont assume just because she is mic'd that she isn't projecting her voice at all. The mic likely saves her voice..if she were to have to sing true operatic style at this age her voice career likely would be over in a few years. We want to enjoy this god given treasure for a long time!!!

Jackie does not sing opera. She may sing a few arias, but she does not sing opera. Jackie does however, with her classical style make opera arias much more pleasing than a highly trained opera soprano. The opera soprano must project over the orchestra pit, therefore diminishing the beauty of tone. Opera houses are starting to change now by installing mics in and around the stage. Does the string section still use gut strings? Nope. Steel. Opera is slowly changing.

At Boco to close the evening, Jackie sang "Nessun Dorma"
The crowd of over 3000 and the symphonia (90 strong) came spontaniously to their feet even before she finished the aria, and stayed up for over 5 minutes. Durring which little Jackie went backstage to lead the others out in a hand to hand chain for a final bow. The audience was stuned as a sweet little 10 year old STAR danced, waved, giggled and bowed. 3000 people can't be wrong! BRAVO!
