  • @mita4264 if the farthest she's gone is some shithole commercial where she depicts the epitome of the type of person TRUE new yorkers absolutely despise, well... does she really have any authority in teaching people how to be a good actor?

  • yoo...@backflip444 that rail tin hipster girl with bangs is my acting teacher. dont talk about people you dont know.

  • I have never grimaced so much while watching an ad before. If I didn't know better, I would have thought it was a parody.

  • @ReaganHumpedDogs Those people aren't New Yorkers. They're transplants from other parts of the country who are currently occupying the five boroughs. New York does a great service to the rest of America by serving as a dumping ground for the country's pretentious yuppie douchebags.

  • Black turtleneck guy seems to be the only one in on the joke.

  • i hate this commercial, but even worse was their ad a few years ago: 'There's the Times, then there's everything else'. Does anyone remember that? lived in nyc for 10 yrs, never met anybody like these assholes.

  • @laughingcrows - Nah, they know Murdoch's got that demographic wrapped up with a bow.

  • That Asian girl is hot

  • So according to this ad, you need to be "fluent in three sections" to have the self confidence to carry on a conversation with others.

  • Anyone who thinks the type of people portrayed in this too-stupid-to-believe commercial are anywhere near left-leaning haven't a clue. Rich, privileged people are rarely and truely leftist. Talk to them about progressive taxation, the class war, imperialism, or anything remotely radical, and they'll run screaming. Note to regressives: These people aren't much different than you. Their love of the status quo and hatred for the vulnerable is just more subtle than yours.
