I'm a strong proponent of states rights. and if Texas wants to be strict on Marijuana, then that's their business. If you don't agree with how a state runs, then don't move there.

@1RedshirtXLG California will be back; New York had they're troubles back in the mid 70s and it rebounded economically. But I agree that California state government is too big. Texas on the other hand is doing good for now but there are there things that they have to deal with in the near future. Texas is just too strict on things like medical marijuana. They would send some one to jail for one small joint thats absurd.

@Johnp90380 - John your problems are tiny compared to California. Los Angeles is beyond corrupt. I paid thousands in state income tax to California and we get nothing extra. There are Life Guards and run of the mill Prison Guards making Over $200K here. Our government is fat and bloated. Our school system is in even worst condition. Want to talk about toll roads?! we are soon going to have Congestion Zones where you paying just to go into some areas of town. Please please send us Rick Perry.

@lacabrona86 Though I am conservative, I do like California better. People were very rude to me and my family in Texas. They kept assuming all of these things about us that are just not true. They though my sister's boobs were fake just because she's from California lmao The waitresses were rude and the people in General were very rude once they heard we didn't have an accent.

What Gingrich fails to mention is that Perry is a corrupt governor that is slowly destroying texas, the last time the fed gov sent money for texas education, the slick rickster stole the money, and put it into the rainy day fund.

Perry likes business so much that he privatizes government functions, such as building roads, giving his cronies the contracts to run toll roads that citizens are paying for already, but then have to pay for again. Perry for head of the GOP gang in huntsville 2012
